“I used to think a wedding was a simple affair. Boy and girl meet, they fall in love, he buys a ring, she buys a dress, they say I do. I was wrong. That’s getting married. A wedding is an entirely different proposition.”
- Steve Martin as George Banks in Father of the Bride
WHY DO YOU NEED A PLANNER?
Hiring a wedding planner doesn't have to break the bank or your budget! In fact, one of the best gifts a couple can give themselves is a Wedding Consultant. Whether it be a Wedding Planner or a Day-of Wedding Coordinator, the time and value saved in doing so, is worth its weight in gold.
Your Wedding Planner is your greatest asset when planning your big day. She works on your behalf and with your best interest in mind. She will guide you through the planning process, the wedding day itself, and listen any time you would like to chat about your wedding dreams. She will help lead the planning process without taking over the joy of the wedding planning experience. While planning, she can help conceptualize your vision, manage your budget expectations, and refer you to vendors and venues that will ultimately work for your event. It is your Planner’s job to bring your dream to life.
For example, we have saved couples significant amounts of money, upwards of $2,500, by evaluating and restructuring catering proposals. We have saved couples money, starting around $500, by lending our own inventory to the florist and even offering our own set-up of the flowers. The list goes on, but needless to say the amount we can save you pays for itself.
Additionally, your Planner will orchestrate your wedding day, alleviating a great deal of stress on you, your friends and family. She will coordinate vendors, ensure that everything is as it should be, and act as a liaison on behalf of the bride and groom. Below are a few links that we think discuss quite nicely, and honestly, the importance of hiring a wedding planner.
